YOUTH PAGE

 

 

FCC Youth Group is open to all youth in 5th through 12th grades.  Church membership is not required, so the group is open to any youth from the community.  The Youth Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of most months from 5:30-7pm. 

 

Meetings generally consist of games, activities, snacks (who doesn’t love food!) and a short discussion or devotional time. Other activities may include day trips, service projects, baseball games, amusement parks etc. 

 

Parents must fill out a registration prior to their child attending youth group.

 

A medical release form (please contact church office) must be filled out for each youth participating in Youth Group.

 

 

God Squad

God Squad is a youth group for children in pre-K through 4th grade.  We meet on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 4-5pm at the church.  At our meetings we typically play games, make a craft, have snack and learn about God.  God Squad is open to anyone who would like to join us and you do not have to be a member of the church.

 

To register your child for God Squad please fill out a registration form and return it to the church office.

Safe Sitter® Classes     

 

 

 

Safe Sitter® prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who’s choking, and helpful information like what to do if there’s severe weather. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice choking rescue and CPR!

Safe@Home Classes: Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. Designed for grades 4-6.

 

Classes are held at First Congregational Church of Whitman, 519 Washington Street, Whitman, MA 02382.

Fees:

Safe@home is $35 (90mins)

Safe sitter essential (non-CPR) is $55 (5.5hrs)

Safe sitter with CPR is $75 (6.5hrs)
